She becomes the top singer of folk songs and meets a rich student, Thanos Nikolaou, with whom she falls in love and then marries in secret, without his mother knowing. When he goes to France to finish his medical studies, Anna gives birth to their baby. She is informed that Thanos was killed in an accident. Mrs. Evridiki (a kind-hearted woman who helps the young woman), turns to Thanos’ mother for help, but she takes the baby boy and leaves it at the door of a poor house. Six years later, Anna and Thanos (who actually survived the accident) find their son and are extremely happy.
